Semak Kasih is an online platform that allows members of the public to check/verify whether they have an existing insurance policy or takaful certificate recorded with participating takaful operators or insurers.
Registered users who are 18 years old and above may perform a search through the portal.
Currently, only family takaful and life insurance products are available for checking.
At the moment, only Personal Accident, Hospitalization and Surgery, Life Insurance, Family Takaful, Travel Insurance, Critical Illness, and Hospital Cash/Income.
You will need the NRIC number of the person whose coverage you are checking.
Yes. Registration is mandatory before performing any search.
You will need to provide:
- Your full name
- Your NRIC number
- A valid email address
- A valid mobile phone number
No. The service is provided free of charge.
No. The portal only verifies whether a certificate or policy exists and identifies the respective takaful operator or insurer. For full details, please contact the relevant takaful operator or insurer directly.

Create an account using your name, NRIC, email address, and mobile number.
Once registration is completed, log in to access the enquiry function.
Enter the required information:
- Next-of-Kin (NOK) NRIC number
- Upload the death certificate (where required)
If a record is found (“hit”), the Portal will display the name of relevant takaful operator/insurer and their contact number.
Please contact the ITO shown on screen for next steps and further assistance.
When there is a hit, please contact the Takaful Operators or Insurers that appear on screen of enquiry.
If the portal indicates that a certificate or policy exists, you should contact the takaful operator or insurer displayed on the screen directly.
Semak Kasih Portal does not process claims or provide claim-related services.
All claims enquiries, submissions, and follow-ups must be handled by the relevant takaful operators/insurers according to their respective procedures.
